Default Re using metal header gaskets mine are leaking

ok so I re used my metal header gaskets I belive they are feel pro, they leak until the car gets warm and then they seal up or seal up better but probably do still leak, Question is do i need new ones or is there a way i can get these to reseal.

I am assuming the metal ones have some kind of coating on them new that seals once they get hot and since I put them back on without that same coating thats why its leaking.

could spraying them with silver or copper paint work like on head gaskets?

i have never torqued my header bolts, just make sure you get them tight. then run them for a few heat cycles and re tighten. should be good to go

I've always used new gm mls exhaust manifold gaskets and stage 8 locking header bolts from ws6store and had good luck.
Never needed any copper spray or anything...

Live by this! I check them at least 6 heat cycles and never have leaks.

If you're using MLS (multi layered steel) header gaskets, then when you torque them down, you essentially crush the layers together to form a contoured seal. You're really not supposed to reuse MLS because of that, since you can't "uncrush" them.

The way I did mine was start from the middle two bolts and then the next bolt forward, then the next bolt backward, until you get to all of them. Do this once at 11 ft/lb and then again at 18 ft/lb

i think thats why mine dont deal cyber, they do seal up once the car is hot well probably not all the way but you no longer can actually hear it really bad, I will be redoing the gaskets here very soon hopefully it solves a few of my issues, I think I need to check my plugs also. one of them could of backed out

I reused my stockers and they sealed just fine but then i had to remove my exhaust so i bought new GM MLS and they are perfect. i didnt torque them according to specs just tight them well and thats it.
