Default 806, 241, 243 heads, all the same when ported ?

I'm ordering from Llyod elliotts, I'm getting a 223/227 cam and LE2 heads for my 1998 camaro z28. I'm paying an extra $150 for cores because my car is in storage soo i cant get to my heads. Now idk if hes going to be porting a set of 806 heads which are stock for my car or hes gonna get some 241's or maybe 243's But my question is would they all be equal if they were ported the same ? flow wise, hp gain ? If i get 241's would i need new valve covers ? and about the compression, if i got the same 806 heads ported i will keep the 10:1 compression right and is that alright or do i want alittle more ? If soo i plan on getting new gaskets anyways.

806s and 241s work pretty much the same when ported, biggest differences between them would be the center bolts vs perimeter bolts. 243s (especially with porting) will out flow either of those 2 any day. And came with the hollow stem valves which is always a plus. 243s also have a slightly smaller combustion chamber so you will see a slight bump in compression.

Long story short if you have the choice then the 243s are your best bet.

What about torque and mid range beyween all those heads? Highest flowing doesnt mean faster ET's.. But maybe peak hp

I picked up some 243 heads on here, came from a 06 gto. My question is does it matter if i get the coil brackets from the gto or any 99+ fbody will work with my 98 coils ?

As long as they are centerbolt valve covers and coils, your fine. Ive got GTO 799s on my 2000 WS.6 with nothing special needed. Everything from my 2000 was a direct bolt on.

Well if i can save 10 bucks i'll get the coil brackets from a 99-02 fbody because they are cheaper than the gto's
