Default Another 102 intake question..

Ok I've got a question:

Current setup: TR224, LS6 intake, TSP 2.5 5.3L heads and a Vig 2800..

Contemplated setup: Torquer V2 on 111LSA and 108ICL with the TSP heads and a PTC 3800.

I'm currently putting 429rwhp and am thinking about grabbing the Fast 102 and 102 TB when I throw the new cam in it..

Would the benefits be worth the cost of the Fast setup?

I've been contemplating this recently myself, and i'm kind of on the fence. I mean $1500 for 15-20 hp over the LS6 intake is not much bang for the buck when it's all said and done IMO. Especially when my entire nitrous system with all the bells and whistles was like $1300, and I can make WAY more power lol. I don't know if ever get some extra money burning a whole in my pocket I might do it lol. You just aren't happy with your current HCI setup? That's a lot money just to redo something that you already have, and probably works well for what it is

It's worth it. At that power level a fast 90 o 92 would be fine and then you can reuse your oe fuel rail and injectors.

You would be looking at gains near 20hp and more than that threw the middle.

Too many people get hung up on peak numbers. You may get 15-20 at peak, but what you gain down low is what really makes it worth it.

You will notice 10 HP down low before you notice 20 up top. If you can gain 10 at 4k, that will really give you the seat of the pants feeling and track times you're after.

Bww - I think you're right. I couldn't care less about what it makes at 7,300rpm.. I won't be hitting the track. Car has never been on a track yet.

Just want a bigger grin when I get on it.

Yup and you run the risk of spending nearly 2 grand for 10 hp like some of the guys on the low end get.

Do yourself a favor and skip the 4.10's and get the fast intake.
