i was informed and did a search on the Pacesetter headers and I was told that some people have issues with them hitting on stuff?

The only thing that Pacesetters are known to hit is the K-Member. It's a pretty easy fix. Just cut a notch into it and you're good to go..
Now, the SLP LT's hit alot of things that are on the ground..

Yep just notch the k-member and the headers won't hit anything... the y-pipe will bounce off the floorboard though unless you pry it down an inch or so. Header wrap on the y-pipe in the area where it hits will help that as well...

i didnt have any problems with my pacesetters. just a notch in the k member, no bumping. BTW didnt you just post up how you had money to make your car insane loud? the major problem with pacesetters seems to lay with their y pipe. It seems to be getting better in design however, but did you just post up a few days ago how you wanted to make your car LOUD? check out ls1sounds.com they have lt install tips and will show you where you'd need to notch the k member. do a search in this forum as well, i got a great write up from a guy on this board...i think his ls1tech name is foff67...can't remember exactly though.
get yourself a set of pacesetters, an x pipe, some 10 series flowmaster mufflers, a bump stick, and you shold still have a few bones left over to pick up something else or put it towards a good tune. I love my pacesetters and my wallet loves my pacesetters

Get the jet-hots, same as the hooker only a better coating. I think daniel at tss can get a good deal like $500 something. I helped him install a set on a ss and they were fine. when my busted *** hookers get done rusting im buying those. best of all i can use the hooker y-pipe.

I don't think any header out there is perfect, you will read about flaws from them all. I think the little things that are done (k-member fix) are well worth it to save money and still get a good set of headers. I have these same headers on my car. I ordered them from TSP-------> and I love them.

I just finished installing another set on my friend's car and the only problem we had was getting the driver's side in and the K-Member issue. To fix the fitment problem, we just raised the engine/tranny a little and it popped right in.
Good headers.
Good headers.
