Default Catch can idea,Whatta ya think...

How about closing the PCV totally.
Teeing both valve covers together to a catch can and just running a breather on top of the catch can. This way u have no pcv running back to the tb and if it needs to vent it'll go out the breather.

Well.. the reason it's attached to the TB is to provide suction, right?

There is allot of pressure built up in the crankcase. The pcv is designed to relieve that. Without one you might run into problems

Joel I'm running the AMW catch catch http://www.accmachtech.com/pcvcatchcans.htm who are a sponsor here and have noticed a large difference in my car. Before using it, I had loads of crap in my intake from the pcv pulling an oil / water mixture. After putting about 500 miles on the car with it, I have about a quarter cup of oil in the can and I pulled the throttle body and noticed a very dramatic decrease in the amount of oil in the intake. Granted, I need to pull the intake or do a top end cleaner, but at least I know its not going to continue to get owrse or have future issues.

It's less than $100 and definitely worth every penny.

Thanks for the compliments on the house... we've been in it for almost 8 months and I love it more and more everyday.... I jut got done installing an entire house sound system with 5 pairs of speakers....

Back to the catch can... I mounted that on the drivers side of the airbox assembly and routed the hoses under the intake track by the radiator. It's not exactly stealth, but its a clean install and easily accesible to empty it when necesary.

Here are a few pics of the AMW can mounted by the air box. The last one shows how the hoses are routed.
