Default Do you put anything on the header bolts before installing them?

I was just curious because I removed my longtubes yesterday and the bolts were a little difficult to get out. I had to use the ratchet almost all the way until they came out before I could start spinning it with my fingers. I used Fel-Pro C5-A anti-sieze lubricant. Was that a no no? Just wondering if I was or wasnt suppose to use that and if not, what do you put on them if anything? Thanks.

I didn't use anything on my bolts when i put them in. Later on i used a bigger wrench size bolt and still didn't use anything on them and even after 8 months none have come loose.

I have never had any issues with my header bolts loosening at all and I am using the stock bolts. I haven't used any loctite or anti-seize.

I also used anti-seize. I put it on my Stage 8 bolts before I installed them.
Should make my Head / Cam install easier, whenever that will be.

Yes, you should use anti-seize on aluminum heads, good choice.
