Default Porting an LS6 Intake

Hello guys,

I am wondering, is there anything to be gained from porting an LS6 intake? I have not found very much information on this subject, but never the less, I will ask the tech knowledge base here for further insite.

If you're the one doing the porting, any gains to be had will be free, so why not.

You have a better chance of ruining the intake than helping it. It's too good out of the box and the gains from intakes like a FAST are from the runner design and extra plenum volume.

From everything I have personally seen there is only very minimal gains to be had from porting a LS6 intake.

That's actually a good point. If you haven't ported one before, there probably is a good chance of screwing it up and ruining the intake. Would not want to do that.
