True Duals w/ cats, tailpipes! Sound clips!
Got my full custom exhaust on! Here is the design. Spartan Performance here in GA did the full install.
3 inch exhaust, run out tailpipes, under axle.
Stock ls1, mods are SLP lid, 4.10s, lowered unknown springs, I'd guess about 1.5in drop up front and lowered rear too.
-Speed engineering 1 3/4 headers W/EGR (hooked back up)
-2 (fairly large) Magnaflow cats
-Summit racing 3" xpipe kit
-2 moroso spiral flow bullets
-3.5" out Corsa clones
It sounds AWESOME!! Not too loud for a DD, but startup noise is pretty beastly.
No drone/rasp at all, not too loud for conversations in the cab but definitely louder than a cat back.
Has a nice rumble to it at idle, incredibly deep. Almost sounds cammed it's so deep if there is something around me to reflect the sound.
Ground clearance is very tight. I scrape on huge speed bumps and the exhaust is very noticeable when you look under the car.
Car feels smoother and sounds incredible. Sounds just like a muscle car should. Loud enough to be heard and not sneak around, but not too loud to be considered obnoxious by the general public (unless its a cold start ) Never heard an LS1 in person like it. Inside it sounds a lot tamer than outside. The tone is there, but there is not excessive volume. Outside it has the sound to make babies cry, mothers fear for their lives, and fathers question their current choice of automobile. I've heard tons of catbacks on LS, 4.6 and 5.0s, but I cannot stress how good this sounds. It has a similar roar to a 3V mustang GT with full exhaust but sounds much better and way, way deeper.
Volume: 1-10
1 = stock quiet
5= typical cat back volume
7.5= SLP loudmouth
10= open headers/straight pipes
This setup=6.5-7 but zero drone/rasp
BEFORE: (Stock manifolds, Hooker Aerochamber catback. The flutter sound is a bad exhaust leak)

Sounds great. Do you plan on a cam at some point. If so I like to see how it sounds then. Also why did you and Josh decided to go under the axle instead of over the axle.
