Ls2 intake on ls1

Ls2 intake on ls1
Q- is slapping an ls2 intake manifold/ fuel rails on my stock ls1 worth the hassel? The sell isn't asking for much and from what I've been told it's worth doing. What are your opinions?

Not worth the swap, but how much isn't much? If it's below $100 it may be worth picking up just for the fuel rail if you ever have plans for a FAST 102 or the new MSD AirForce.

Thank you!
The car is a 05 Vz 5.7 commodore ute, has a full two and a half inch xforce exhaust, 4 into 1 extractors, grower kit induction and that's it.
I live in Darwin and the seller is asking for $150 for the manifold and fuel rails. Everyone that I've talked to in Darwin about fast manifolds have said they have swapped there's back to original being that the fast manifold is metal and gets hot.
I shall look up the ls6 manifold and read into it, thank you all

G'day Lance, good to see another Aussie in the forum.
It looks like people in Darwin don't know anything about FAST intakes though because they aren't metal, just very expensive plastic. I'm not fully up on which Aussie cars have which engine but I would think a 2005 5.7 litre VZ would definitely have an LS6 intake on it already and probably the full LS6 engine. My 2003 VY has an LS6 intake and block from the factory, just not the 243 heads unfortunately.
Best wishes,
Jason.

I believe the only direct replacement aluminum intake manifolds for these engines is the BBK version. It makes some better power over the LS1 manifold but not much.
It's been proven a myth that an aluminum manifold gets hot-during use. After engine shut down, yes, it will get hotter than a plastic manifold during hot soak.
Can you post a picture of the manifold you have now? Any numbers on it?

I didn't see your comment before my previous comment just now sorry Paul, I'll take some photos shortly and look for any numbers and post it up
