Default Will I get a ticket?

Hey all, about to go in for some long tubes and ory to complement my tsp rumbler. Any idea exactly how loud its going to be? I am trying to avoid getting noise tickets, but still get some more power. Car is currently just a lid/catback 98 z28.

Depends on a few things. One how bad are the cops with loud cars? Do you plan on wot all the time ? Lol. I run dumped true duals pretty mellow with normal driving but they're quite loud at wot. Although the import crowd is a hell of a lot louder and they never seem to bother them.

If it ends up being too loud there's things you can do to quiet it down. Like swapping mufflers for something like a borla xr1 or magnaflow magna pack are popular.

If you drive somewhat normal you should be fine. Just need to know when you can open it up and when you can't .

I live in louisville, have not been pulled over as of yet, just want to be overly cautious. It will have cats and air/egr deleted if that makes a difference. would a 20 dollar or something bullet muffler in place of a cat help?

You could also put a couple of short bullets or resonators in the tail pipes like the SLP PowerFlow kit has.

i drove stock with open longtube headers for three years and got pulled over a GRAND total of 2 times.

To be honest, the cammed setup with my exhaust out the back is louder than the open headers was on the stock engine.
Amazing what a little cylinder pressure does for noise levels

Just put a bullet in the piping to help tone it down.
