Default LQ9 build suggestions

About to start a build up of a LQ9. Going to keep stock bottom and for now. Auto trans behind it. The car will be street driven weekend toy for the most part not a DD. Suggestions for the entire build will be highly appreciated!! going in an 81 firebird.

The easiest way would be to do a few basic bolt ons then some boost or nitrous. It can be done with a good HCI but it won't have the same overall drivability.

I would get a decent set of heads like PRC and a cam from Texas Speed, there are plenty of combos to choose from. I would keep compression up and pump gas friendly. Throw a fast intake, some 60lbs injectors on there and a good tune.

Stroking it to a 408 will get you there easily..... other wise as far as head goes I would hit up Tony Mamo for a set of his new 220 heads. If they made 490rwhp with a 227 cam on a LS1 they should clear that with a LQ9 due to the added cubes.
