Default New heads & baby cam, do I need new injectors?

I recent purchased a set of AFR 215 heads to go along with my also waiting to be installed baby cam from Martin at Tick. I never thought anything about this until just now. Will I need to also upgrade my stock ls1/ls6 injectors?? Gosh, the cost of mods is really getting expensive...!!!!

Define baby cam LOL!
Depends on supporting mods & duty cycle of injectors.
If you have LTs and FAST Intake, Probably! Those AFR215s
Can move Allot Of Air! You have plenty of room to grow as well.

Hard to say until it's on the dyno. If I were spending all that money I would not skimp on the injectors

The tick cam is 223-227 619/597 116+3. This is an emissions legal cam for California thru an A4 trans. I am also running ARH stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 and the stock ls6 intake.
Thanks guys...

I'd plan on getting the factory injectors resized to at least 36 lbs/hr size first. Then there's also the likelihood your fuel pump might not be able to flow enough fuel at WOT. So you might need a higher flowing fuel pump too!

Btw, FIC (fuel injector connection) can resize your injectors for about $240..

You'll most likely need new injectors, I would imagine the teeny LS1 stock injectors will be in the mid 90s duty cycle.

All I can tell you is I hit 90% duty cycle at 390whp SAE / 400whp uncorrected on a 03 C5Z on stock injectors....28.8 lb/hr IIRC. I would upgrade if I were in your shoes.

36 lbs would do the job. 42 lbs will give you plenty of room to grow with and tuners tell me that they are really easy to set fueling with.......

ls3's would be my choice, theyre cheap and reliable you just need adapters to run them they flow at 42lbs

Thank you everyone for all the replies and input!! I really do not have a HP number in mind, but rather if my stock injectors will serve me now or at least until I decide to pony up more $$$ and purchase more injector. I do not know how much hp I will end up making, but this list of rather costly parts are going on a 02 z28 with a new crate LS6, Magnaflow cat back, ported throttle body and that SLP ram air from below setup.
- ARH stepped 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 with cat'd y-pipe $1782
- Tick cam and supporting items 223-227 619/597 116+3 $1688
- AFR 215 heads (touched by the hand of Tony) $2600+
I really need to install all these parts and enjoy the ride, but then again, wrenching on it is 50% of it for me as I have very limited time for enjoyment.
thanks again for all the input and knowledge everyone is sharing....

All and all I'd let the tuner make the decision. He will have the data log and I'd think that would be the deciding factor

With that list you will need them. I had 102% DC on mine at 5300 with stock 243's and a 230/232 cam. Plus injectors are fairly cheap as I said. In the end you may have to pay for a retune to get it rght for the new ones after it has been tuned once. Thats if the tuner can even completet the tune as the stock injectors may not keep up. Just do it the first time and have insurance.

Bosch injectors from supercharged 3800 GM cars are great. Super easy to tune and no adapters needed.

They are 41.5# at 58psi rail pressure and can be had in the classifieds here for under $100

When you say adapters, what do you mean? I just would like to buy the right need parts the first time, otherwise the cheap gets expensive....
Thanks guys
