Default LT Headers need Tuning

I recently had LTs+ORY installed. I have a Lid+filter and MagnaFlow Muffler. Do I need tuning to take full advantage of the headers?

Thumbs up

Yes you'd need tuning to take full advantage of the headers but no, you don't always need tuning to simply enjoy some of the benefits of a header install.

NEED......no... SHOULD YOU.....yes.....

Headers will change the air/fuel ratio some and if not tuned you won't get the full gains and could loose a tad. The car will still run and it will sound cool but won't have all the performance it could have.

Default Tuning

OK, so I need tuning to max out the new mods, I figured as much. Can I do that with a DiabloSport? Seeing as how I'm not spending another 600 buckaroos at a Dyno shop for a simple tune.

It cost me $360 for LS1 Edit @ Dez Racing on the dyno, with 2 years of free upgrades.

I guess I can't do that with the Hypertech PP3. Or Can I?

No, the Hypertech will not cut it...I currently use the HPP3 for it's shift point/firmness and fan settings but no Power Tuning for it didn't work well on my mostly stock car at all....after I get my LTs/ORY on the car I might experiment with the Power Tuning again to see if the A/F parameters changed enough in one direction (lean/rich etc?) that maybe the factory preset HPP3 tune will work better, I doubt it will though.
