worth it to swap to fast 102 on a ported heads/cam/ls2 6.0?
I have a ls2 6.0 with texas speed prc stage 2.5 5.3's, texas speed tsunami cam, texas speed 1 7/8 Lt's, Fast 92/92. So far the car has ran 11.02@122 and I'm pulling the fast 92 to get ported or sell it for a fast 102. My question is, is it worth it to go to a 102/102? Yes it would be a ported 102 also. I'm looking for the most I can get on the intake without doing this again so that's why I ask should I just get the 92 ported or get a ported 102. Thanks for any replies.

Ported 102 worth ~10 RWHP over ported 92. Up to you if it's worth it.

ok, here's the question then
92/92 ported on my engine combo is worth 10 or close to it.
102/102 ported on my engine combo worth 20 or close to it since the 102 is supposed to be worth close to 10 over a 92.
Does that theory sound correct?

I think if you jump from an as built fast 92 to a ported 102, you're in the 15-20 range.
From a ported 92 to a ported 102, closer to 10.
So, IMO, the real question is - is the base price of the 102 worth 10-HP to you? Some say yes, some say no. It'll cost the same to port either intake.
For very rough math, figure 550 for the porting and 800 for the fast 102.
If you had a lesser intake, going to a ported 102 is a simpler matter. Again, the real question - is the extra 10 hp worth $800 to you? If it is, then go for it. Total gain from as built 92 to ported 102 should be 15-20.

Thanks for all the replies! This has been a real back and forth for me. I'm so close to the 10s I wanna get the most I can get cause all the other things are pretty taken care of at this point. I'll let yall know tomorrow which route I take cause I'll be making a decision on this tomorrow and I'll either have the 92 heading to the porter or having a ported 102 heading to me. Thanks again!

The weight is a good idea but I've went as far as I'd wanna go on weight for this being a street car in my definition of a street car. Everybody has their own definition of a street car so yeah in some folks ideas I could take more out. Car has a midwest K member in the front but still has stock a arms so I could lose a little with the a arms. This is still a full accessories car with ac and all.

Pulled the trigger today. Ordering fast 102 ported from peak speed shop that ports fast intakes. I feel very comfortable getting from peak since texas speed recommended peak to port my 92 when that's the route I was gonna take. I know some people will say I'm crazy and hopefully this will be a good move but I didn't wanna ever second guess if I coulda picked up some more from a 102. Hopefully this will allow the car to break on into the 10s lol. I also yes ordered the NW TB.
