Default Fastest car with SLP dual/dual

Anybody running well with that muffler? I want the car to sound very quiet at idle but (of course) don't want to choke it.

The SLP D/D is one of the quietest, but highest flowing systems on the market. It's a very good choice, and this is coming from someone who dosen't like SLP all that much.

The D/D isn't bad at all. A friend of mine took his cam only car down to 12.0 before getting a cutout. It was the funniest thing to watch it go down the track because it made NO noise, but still running quick

I have a 1996 Z-28 and I have coated Hooker long tubes with a 3 inch Mufflex Y pipe and the Dual/Dual that I bought from a guy that took it off of a 02 Firehawk. I love it, it is very quiet a idle, but when you open it up, it has really good sound and is fairly loud. I had a Flowmaster cat back on it first and when I went to long tubes, it was a little too loud and had a lot of drone. The Dual/Dual is good if you want a fairly quiet but good sounds exhaust. I think I can hear the headers more than I can hear the exhaust at idle.

I recently put a Dual Dual on my car. The car is now awesomely quiet, nice deep tone. I love it!

I plan to get some comparison runs capped/uncapped in the near future.

John, I'm interested to see how much of a difference it makes running through the full exhaust. Also, are you running a single cutout in the I-pipe?

Nineball made over 500rwhp through his Dual/Dual. Ran 10s naturally aspirated. Now Caniball owns the car. The quietest, most wicked street car I've ever seen. I recently replaced my Flowmaster crossflow catback with the Dual/Dual and it feels like 10-15 rwhp gain, no lie.

I ran 10s (with nitrous) with my '98 SS convertible (a few years ago). The Dual/Dual is hands down the best flowing quiet system out there.

John, glad you liked the dual dual. I think it's one of the best systems out there for the street, it has a nice tone and it's not to loud. You'll notice a nice little gain with a cut-out.

D/D is the best flowing "quiet" catback out there. It flows just as well as all of the louder systems that incorporate a muffler.

I ran 10.6s on motor thru the D/D at Thunder Shootout. My 434ci pulled 501 rwhp thru the D/D, and 524 rwhp thru the cutout. Too bad I couldn't run a cutout at that particular event that season lol.

I have a D/D on my '02 SS and it will stay there!

I prefer the Corsa over the SLP D/D just for the added sound. It's just a bit louder and still retains no resonance. The D/D was TOO quiet. I couldn't hear anything but the engine if the car was revved, lol.
