Default Jegs 50228 oil pan.

Does anyone know if this pan will work in a 4th Gen F-Body? I believe the stock F-Body pan is 5in deep and this one is 6in. Do you guys think that would be a problem?

Looks like a smaller capacity version of the Moroso 20140. Either made by Moroso or a chineese copy.

If it is made by Moroso for Jegs, then see no reason why it would not be OK. If it's a Chinese copy, then it's a crap shoot. Don't forget you will need the pickup and will have to make a slight mod to the windage tray and will need 2 bolts for the rear holes as the long OEM bolts obviously won't work.

Call Jegs and ask who is the manufacturer.

I just wanted to update this thread to let other people who might be interested in using this pan that it worked out great on my 96 firbird with a 5.3 engine. Does not hang below the cross member at all. The fitment was great. There is no provision for the oil level sensor though.

Yes i did reuse the stock dipstick. The depth of the pan shouldn't affect the oil level reading.

Here is the part numbers I used for the remote oil. It could certainly be done much cheaper. I prefer the remote mount personally. I know some people do not.

555-110053
305-871010
259-25752
