Question TSP's true duals tubing size

I just wanted to know if TSP's 3-inch tubing on their true dual exhaust is going to be too big for stock engine with a few bolt-ons. Like if my low end will suffer because of too little back pressure from the 3-inch piping.

im pretty sure 3 wont hurt too much...but 2.5 is better, which is one reason why i wont go with TSP's new system.

Whe I went from manifolds to Lt's and 3" duals, I lost ALOT of low end. I think I needed a tune after that exhaust. Sounds bad *** though!

Well to me, the 3"/TD setup is overkill with a stock car, unless you get it tuned. If you have big plans in the future, I say go for it. Cant beat the sound of TD's period!

i think dual 2.5" would be better for a light bolt on car, as dual 2.5" flows similar to a single 3" because of the added resistance due to added surface area on the walls of the tubes. Dual 3" flows like single 4" and can handle just about anything you throw at it. As far as losing low end, with an x-pipe and intake mods, then you shouldnt see much loss at all.

On a stock-internal car, you will feel a little bit of a loss in low-end torque. However, it will still give you a nice increase in power for your usable powerband (i.e. the RPM band you'll stay in when making a pass at the track). The car will still pick up some nice power, but it won't feel as torquey down low (2,000 RPM area) when cruising around town. We wanted a system that would flow well deep into the 10-second ET range.

Let us know if you have any other questions or concerns.

Thanks!

So how much loss would I see in low end torque if I used the 3 inch exhaust? And when you say tune, do you mean a dyno tune, or like a predator type tune?

Are there any plans to offer a 2.5inch version of your exhaust in the future? Because I was seriously considering your exhaust but the low end loss is really my only concern, since my car is a daily driver.

Well I dont know exactly how much low end you will loose. I can say that it feels like your car with like 2 more people in it. Kinda feels sluggish. Feels fine up top though! When going to headers and duals, it will throw off your A/F ratio, so you will need to dyno tune it, to adjust the A/f.

You took the words right out of my mouth. I would not think twice about buying a 2.5" setup. If you will build them I'm sure you would sell tons of them as there are lots of us out there on a tight budget with just a few bolt-ons but want duals.
