You weld them into your exhaust pipe somewhere. When you want a little bit of extra power or sound, you un-cap it and the exhaust now has another way to leave, bypassing the muffler. Some exhaust still goes through the muffler, so the exhaust now has two ways to go, increasing flow and ultimatly horsepower.

cutouts rule!

they make the exhaust a lot more free flowing, give ya some more power and lots of cool noise!

i love mine.. i have an electrical one from QTP

But if you are in a county with E-check (like me) then it isn't the best idea.

check qtp one of our sponsers. also there is a newer sponser i think they are called street pro you can pm the dude from that sponser i think his name is streetprous. they have a really sweet looking cut out, its expensive but honestly i dont forsee teh same leakage problems that QTP's tend to have.

my take on electronic cut outs. dont be lazy and get under the car and open that bitch that way. c ause once its open you wont want to close it for a while anyways.

Best bet is a "Zed-Style" cutout which is over the axle before the muffler.

You can drive with it every day open (if you have cats) and it will increase power, but it won't get too noisey inside the car. You can cap it and uncap it in 2 minutes without jacking the car up.
