Yes, I know some 02 F-bodys got the LS6 block (and intake only)…

Here is the question. Does the 2001 LS6 block have the “bull’s eye” marking or does it not?
Does the 2001 LS1 block have the “bull’s eye” markings or not?

Thank you!

Where is the mark that tells you which block you have? Anyone have a pic of it?

The LS1 blocks have the bullseye and the LS6 do not.

I dont see why not.... LS6 blocks were cast in a different place I believe and made of a different material. Also, the LS1 block is shiney like a quarter and the LS6 block is a grey color. I can do a pic of a LS6 block tonight when I get home from work.

Here is the info I found, incase anyone searches for this info later:
(this includes the 2001 LS6 block):

Get under car....Look up at the back of the engine....

On the driver side....Where the head meets the block....

You will see the casting number....

LS6 casting....12561168 any other number and you have an LS1 casting....

You can just look at the color and the markings and tell instead of all that.
