Default Need some Opions on this Popping Noise-FLOWS!!!!!!

I have a 03' ECSB 4.8 Silverado and have Flowmaster 50 series catback(single in -dual out) exhaust. I have about 10k on the exhaust and a few weeks ago i noticed a popping sound coming out the pipes after I was at high speed(85+) and just let off the gas and let the mph/rpm's drop. It would only do it for a few seconds and then it would quit. Well I just got the 4.10 gears in and since the rpms are higher at a lower mph(than it was with the 3.42's) Im noticing it alot more like when I hit around 60 or 65 and let off the gas to slow down! It still only does it for 2-3 seconds but its getting on my nerve! Someone told me I need a X-pipe and it worked for him but couldnt tell me why it worked or what it was! Can someone please explain what caused this and what can fix it? Thanks for the help! Oh and I checked the whole exhaust and there is no damage to the outside of the system!

This is intresting because I have one on my 98Z and it does the same thing. I wonder myself what it is too. Sounds like backpressure to me but Im not sure.

It is unburnt fuel lighting off in the exhaust after the manifolds. My car does the same thing. It does it really bad when it is cold if I get on it a little and then let off.

I think we are talking about two different things! Im not talking about a pop here and there! This sounds like my exhaust is gargaling but it does do it like you said if you really get in it and just let your car slow down by itself. Say I hit 85 and just let off the gas it will do it at 70 and then again at like 50 for about 3 seconds each time! Do you still think this is the same thing and if so why didnt it do it when I first got the exhaust?
