Hi guys,

I already know the answer to this question before I ask it, but I am in an argument with a pal of mine over exhaust. Now, no matter how obvious this answer is, please don't be too mean because I am going to copy this thread to him, so that he sees all your feedback. He really is a good guy, so go easy

OK, which is louder?

My '02 LS1 WS6 with long-tube headers, off-road y-pipe, and Corsa cat-back (stock cam and heads)

.... or......

His '93 LT1 Z28 with stock manifolds, stock cats and y-pipe, and SLP Loudmouth cat-back (stock cam and heads)???

I'm not asking which has a better, smoother, deeper, or more pleasing tone... just PURE VOLUME. Which is louder?

Yes, I know... but he doesn't believe me. (He heard a video of me at the dragstrip and "wasn't impressed" and thought he is louder.) hehehehe...

Obvioulsy a corsa is not very loud but with the addition of long tub headers and a off road y-pipe it is sure to be louder than a stock lt1 with a LM.

Whats his reason for thinking his car is louder? Because its an LT1 or because it has a loud mouth?

So he is basing his decision from a sound clip? Everyone know that sound clips dont do justice. Ive had people hear my car and say "Ahh it sounds cool" and then a "Wow that thing sound mean!" when they hear it in person.
