Default Lid without AIR fitting?

Ok, I removed the AIR system from my 00 SS and now I have an empty hole in the side of my SLP lid. I have taped over it for now.

Question is, What lids are sold without this hole precut in it?

00-02 have the hole in it. 98-99 do not have the hole. When you buy a lid, there is usually a choice of the two.

So other than the AIR hole are the 98-99 the same?

Would be nice if www.texas-speed.com would come up? Guess I will try later.

Call SLP. They sell a plug for that hole.

When I removed my AIR, I just plugged the hole with a 5/8" PVC plug I bought from Lowe's for about $2. Then I just painted it black to match the hole. Left the grommet in place and just shoved it in. Looks fine and didn't cost me the $21.95 SLP will charge you for their plug.

If you do it this way, double check the 5/8" part. I think that was the size, but I'm not 100%.

Go to the autoparts store and get a valve cover grommet for the old style small block, fits perfect.
