TB or MAF first? Your input needed
I need to know what to upgrade next. I just purchased SSRA, lid and bellows and I want to upgrade one more thing. Your input needed all-knowing gods of LS1 modding!!!

If you'll do some quick research, you'll find that a lot of people have problems with aftermarket MAF sensors. Most tuners won't even touch them...they'll ask you to put your stocker back in. Just do some looking around, and you'll find out why...I don't really feel like going into the technical parts here.
I'd do the ported TB if I were you...and if you really want to do something special, get some tuning software, learn how to use it, and do a speed density tune that will allow you to tune out the MAF sensor altogether. That way, you can get rid of the whole thing and just run a silocone hose from your lid to the TB. Not for the faint of heart...

changed out MAF's will only benefif you IMHO when you reach a HP point where the stock MAF becomes a major restriction. then get a delphi z06 MAF where there are known tables for it, and it can be tuned for.
i say get a ported tb and call it a day. shaner can hook you up man. quality stuff at a reasonable cost.

I am so glad that this forum exists. Thanks for all the help everyone!!! Can anyone explain to me briefly where my bottleneck is going to be. I know it is inevitable. I will reach a point when I have more air coming in that can go out. What will be the best thing to upgrade next? LT Headers? High-flow cats? This is not a race track car (for now) so I need emissions unfortunately, but I have the loudmouth to free up the exhaust. Any thoughts???
Thanks,
Kyle

As long as you stay the hell away from SLP lt's, you'll be good to go. I see in your original post you're lookin at Kooks headers, which is good. SLP has some serious fitment/clearance issues goin on. Kooks is where its at
