Default My new exhaust is on!!!

My exhaust came in yesterday. The Mufflex 4" system that turns down on the left. Well instead of using a spintech or a flowmaster I had them put a Magnaflow on there(4" Race Series). Oh man does it sound good. I'll try to get some pics and sound clips real soon.

I like the idea of the 4" single pipe but hate the muffler choices. Maybe if they could weld in a bullet muffler in the I pipe or something like a 4" version of the loudmouth.

Looks stealth. Isn't that a little too much pipe for stock cubes, though?

Well I'm no expert on the topic, but don't you lose lowend torque w/ an exhaust that large unless your putting down serious dyno numbers (i.e. bigger cubes).

My buddy lost a pretty good bit on his 98'. He bought it back when Mufflex first introduced this system. He gained everything back when he went back to a normal style catback. Deffinatlly a nice system, but a bit much for a bolt on car.

that is not too much pipe for stock cubes

a 3" pipe flows about the same as two 2.25 pipes so im sure that a 4" would not flow anymore than two 3" pipes like alot of people have on their cars

i just put true dual 3" system on my car and its a hell raiser now and i dont mean just sound, and my car is just a header, 3" duals, and lid car

what i meant was i like the dual exit but would rather have just pipes in the back with no muffler, with a tube style muffler if they could fit one that big without being too low

I agree with you, I've got 3" TD's on my ride, too. It's quicker top end now for sure, but I feel way slower off the line. It feels like it takes longer to get up in the rpm range now. Probably time for some 4:10's.
