Default 1999 Camaro SS.... Need header advice....

I have a buddy that has a sweet 99 Camaro SS and he wants to put on a header system. I'm a Z owner and not sure if the same brands or setup will work as well on an SS.

Thanks in advance, Randy

It is the same as your Z28 is. You guys should have no prob with the install if you have already done it and plan on helping him.

Most of the sponsors carry headers, depends on how much he wants to spend. Kooks and QTP are known as "The cream of the crop" but they are more expensive then something like Jethot.

ZO6 headers wont work on a SS

How do the Supermaxx LT's measure up to the Kooks and QTP's? I know that LG, Kooks, and Supermaxx (Dynatech) are the best for vettes. Even though LG doesn't make them for F bodies, they push Dynatech. Any thoughts?

dynatech is a pretty much botton-of-the-line header.i would go w/ SS Kook's or QTP's.IMO.paceseeters are a really cheap alternative.i had 'em on my car they performed and sounded great.

i second the motion for pacesetter's coated ... 375 coated is hard to pass up

i have them and i just dont see any reason i would ever need a more expensive header

Thumbs up

Go with the QTPs, awesome headers and Y pipes...they make them for Corvettes now too in an innovative Tri Y design if you wanted to try them on your Z06.

Any differeences between the Kooks and QTP's? Do the Kooks have that velocity spike like the QTP's? Trying to decide between the two.

I would but I already have the complete exhaust done on my car. I have the Supermaxx set back to custom GHL Magnums. I'm surprised that the Supermaxx aren't any good for the F-bodies because they are one of the best for the vette. Now I'm on to changing heads and cam. Just something about a lumpy idle that gets to me ever time. Too bad you can't get any lump with a S/C...
