Default Quietest Exhaust

What's the quietest exhaust possible? Can I just run large tubes going from my y-pipe and put extra large mufflers on at the back? I wouldn't mind giving up a few hp if it's extra quiet.

magnaflow or hooker w/ cats. but if your sig is correct you already have the slp catback which i assume is the D/D? if it is you wont get much quieter then that as well.

It's the slp system with one muffler and duel exhaust with quad tips. It's still loud especially with the kooks long tubes I just got.

Won't a large muffler off a truck flow enough and still be quiet? Or won't it fit?

Haha, sounds like loudmouth. No wonder you need a quiet exhaust system now

Borla XR-1 is normally recommended for this application.

For it being the quietest.. I dunno.

I have the same question. I have MACs, off road Y & Hooker cat back. It was quiet before with manifolds and cats, now it is too loud for as much daily driving as I do with it.

Throw some high flow cats on there and it should be fine.

I have had the SLP D/D, Hooker and True Duals. The D/D is the quietest of them all.

Id look into a B&B triflo system or a borla adjustable catback as well (so you can adjust how loud you want the system to be) but the SLP D/D is one of the most quiet systems out there so you might want to look into putting a dynomax bullet muffler into the I-Pipe or as someone already said maybe a borla XR-1 race muffler into your current set-up. This way you would have the LT's, catted y-pipe, XR1 or Dynomax Bullet, then SLP D/D muffler. That should do the trick.

D/D is very quiet and flows well. The B&B is very interesing- I like the way it sounds, but I've seen enough B&B + cutout closed/open results that lead me to believe that it's not one of the best flowing catbacks.
