Default Any one with a 2OTL catback

Does the muffler sit straight? I can't get mine to for the life of me, and there isn't much room for adjustment. The muffler slants down hill toward the tail pipes.

I got mine to sit straight. It was a long and tedious process. Don't get me started.

To make a long story short, take yours to a good exhaust shop. Pay them money. You'll have a straight sitting muffler.

I love the sound! 2OTL kicks ***!

The sound is great! On my old H/C set up the 2OTL made 419 rwhp vs a cutout at 420 rwhp. Do you have any close up pics of the straight muffler?

I got mine to sit level by adjusting the angle of the hanger that bolts on the tail pipe and putting a large hose clamp around the rubber piece to take some of the slack out of it. Ditto on the way it sounds!

Yeah, mine is crooked too. I've never fixed it since it didn't bother me all that much. Maybe when it warms up I will give a try at leveling it. The sound is killer and the flow is awesome. Polishes up really nice too.....

Don't have the car with me right now, but as mentioned above in another response, getting it straight involves bending the metal hanger on the passenger side and the use of a shorter rubber hanger on the driver's side.

The adjustment to get the muffler straight does cause a chain reaction with the rest of a catback- thus the visit to the exhaust shop on my part, as the catback wasn't mating well with the y-pipe- but then again, I was installing a competely new exhaust from header to exhaust tip- therefore everything was in a state of adjustment.

Good luck!

Mine is slightly slanted downward.

I've had this exhaust on my '99 and now on my '02. It did it on both cars. I haven't worried about it.

I love the sound of my car w/ the headers and the 2OTL.

I like that hose clamp idea. Good idea! I had the same issue with the 2OTL I used to have on my WS6. I never bothered to fix it though.....
