Def. shouldn't throw a code. And, it's not going to do much at all for your car until you program your fans to turn on at 160 as well. I used a hypertech to do that when I got my 160 stat and it runs ~185 all the time now. Before it used to run 195-200 consistently.

Ordered one of some guy on ebay and I'm going on 3 freaking weeks and havent recieved it yet. Damn i'm about pissed. Its only 45.00 but damn I hope I didnt get ripped. Guy sells them cheap as hell so maybe a few of you got yours from him, guys screenname is masterpah.

It shouldn't give you an SES light.
You should take the stock one off and inspect it though.
Mine stock t-stat had only 41k miles, I took it off to inspect it during my last cam swap and found the rubber gasket on it all cracked up and caught inside the thermostat spring. Luckily I had a new 160 t-stat that I didn't install when I did my first cam swap.
