Default Black LSX Manifold

Does FAST make a black LSX maninfold, I really don't want that cream colored one. Also, if not, does anyone powdercoat them?

I don't think you can powder coat plastic. But plastic can be painted with the right paint.

How much would something like that cost? It comes in different pieces so nothing would need to be taped off. Would a plastic spray paint work? If so then I could do it myself.

Make sure you prime it good. Then shoot it. Proof is in the prep.

Krylon has a new paint specifically for plastic. If you use their primer for the plastic as well, take your time with the prep work, and keep the trash (airborne and on the piece itself) to a mimimum. It should look pretty nice. I doubt heat would be a factor with the plastic paint on the FAST, it should only cause a problem if the heat is high enough to distort or warp the manifold itself. Krylon states that the paint bonds with the plastic on a "molecular" level.

Good luck to you.

I highly doubt it has a Carb EO#. But, you can try contacting them to see.

I gave them a call today, but their operators were busy and they said to leave a message, so I did. Never got a call back.

I saw a vette at the orlando dragstrip that had an LSX intake on a a 427 MTI motor. It was easy to tell that it wasn't an LS6 intake cause of the different shape but I assumed it was an LS2 intake. He told me that he had someone grind off the fast logo and had it painted black. It looked really good but stock.

It wouldn't cost that much, but I would pull the intake off to do it. It will come out cleaner.
