SLP Headers??????
I was talking to my friend yesterday with an 2000 SS 383(bad *** car with hot paint job) about headers. He told me to go with SLP(thats what he has). I asked him about bottoming out, he said his car is lowered a bit and still has no problem with clearance. He is extremely satisfied with the SLP headers and wouldnt want any other brand.......ANY ONE WITH OPINIONS ON SLP????....I was thinking of going with QTP but now i dont know...THANKS

You're going to get the same response over and over on this forum....kooks or qtps....Slps are crap. If you search you can find a dyno using the same car with slps and then kooks....there's a power gain...why? Cause Slps suck.

I bought my SLP's on sale for $850 (shipped) for the headers, cats and install kit from Speed Inc. For that price the SLP's can't be beat.
I have been pretty happy with them. I have never scraped my headers. For $850 I would buy them again. Installation was a breeze, Speed Inc. did it with no complaints.
I don't think the SLP's suck, but they do hang low. That is the only problem I have with the headers.
If I were paying $1200 - $1300 for a set of headers w/ cats I would buy QTP's or Kooks.
Good luck.

They do hang low, but they will make power. I bought mine a long time ago and still love them. I cannot justify spending over a grand for a new set of headers, but I am not at 500 rwhp...yet...then well see. Do it right the first time.

I know i scrape my headers a couple times a day.I dont like the slps at all.if you get them you will just end up buying different headers down the road like im doing so save your self the time and money and just buy somthing different.
