well-done ported tb's are worth every penny. hack jobs aren't worth much, but Bo White's, Cammin_BeaSSt's, Jantzer's(if you can find them used), and Shaners are all worth the money. However Jantzer is no longer a sponsor and Shaner isn't either. I wouldn't buy from Jantzer even if he was the last tb porter on earth anyhow....not trustworthy.

Definately, if its done right. I did a lid and a cut out at the same time, but noticed more of a sotp diffrence from a ported tb. No codes either, I noticed a diffrence in the way the car idles, and returned to idle when I put the clutch in but it seems to have smoothed out now.

no they wont for instance i have a 99 camaro and accidently got a 00-02 ls1 tb and the wing on the side was not the correct size which would have held the throttle cable open causing the car to idle at like 3000 rpm to make it shorter no

hey man, i just got my ported tb back from bo white about 2 wks ago. it was great. i have a 99z and sent him a 2001 tb. it will hold the 99 open @ 3000, but you can switch the bell crank (shaft that holds the blade) after you get the tb it will be fine. the only thing you'll have to do is cut the front half of the shaft. takes about 2 mins. no lie. if you have any questions about this pm me.
