quieter exhaust?
i was wondering what yall think would be a fairly quiet muffler to use for a true dual setup out the back? i am running into legal issues where i live about noise ordniances with my current setup (pacesetter LT, x pipe, 18" sweet thunders dumped) thanks for your time...

the hooker mufflers are pretty quiet, flow well, and are cheap. I have long tubes and they are not too loud unless I get on the gas, crusing I cant even tell I have an exhaust.

Magnaflow has a full sized muffler that is very toned down, 4" x 9" in size (dont remember the model number, about $40-60 a piece though). Heard them on a dumped setup with a 4400 stall and a T-Rex cam, and they weren't loud at all. Thats what I'd suggest off of my experience. Very quiet and high flowing muffler for a dumped setup.

As much as I love my setup, I'm thinking the same thing. I was curious if there were any options for quieting it down without removing the mufflers? Would adding cats in or running side pipes be the better option? I just don't like the rattles on the interior. They started out really small, but now the rattles are picking up. I kind of like the sidepipe option, but only if it will reduce the interior pulsing.

What cam are you running? My Z is stock internal with pacesetter LT's, 3" x pipe and 2.5" sweet thunders. I was suprised at how quiet it is until you get on it. I can barely hear the exhaust on the Highway in 6th with 4.10's.
