Default ANY way to pull off true duals w/ Illinois emissions?

Hey everyone. I have emissions coming up soon and was wondering, is there any way to pull off true duals w/ dumps and still be emissions legal? I live in Illinois, but insight into any state's emissions would be helpful. I REALLY want to get true duals instead of a catback, but I need it to pass all the visuals/whatever. Thanks.

Visually they won't pass in any state. I have never seen them with cats and almost all states require the exhaust dump after the passanger compartment. That means out the back for our F-bodys since we have hatch backs. What kind of emmisions testing do you have coming, sniffer or the OBD-II test? If your car is tuned right for no emmisions equipment you will pass the OBD-II no problem.

If you take your chances and find the right shop you can slip them through like the rest of us.

Judging on how they tested my Mustang when I had that, then I have the OBD-II test. I will have the car tuned. So, if they do that test, does the visual even matter? Thanks for your help...you're always awesome with my questions.

Idle Test
Mass exhaust emissions are measured coming from the vehicle.

Can someone explain what the hell that is? Does that apply to IL testing?

I know we do MIL, OBD-II, and Gas Cap test, but I am unsure If i will fail because of That IDLE test if we have it? what does it measure I wonder because i installed LT's and obviously my car is running a bit rich so I hope this wont cause me to fail.

I've heard guys passing emissions out here though even without Cats, so please inform me.

You should have gotten your T/A tuned after installing the LT's. go to speed inc. or straightline.

I passed with dumps under the car, but this is lubbock texas we are talking about. Just ask inspection places what they look for, some are different(if you know what i mean).

Which tune are you talking about Dyno Tuned or Computer tuned? I had it computer tuned codes are deleted. When I say its running richer I mean instead of what the stock 12.6 :1 its more like 12.3/4 :1 Its no big it can be smelled but only when the car is cold. and besides its nothing drastic or anything because of the Cats anyways, and if guys with TD's and no cats are passing i was jsut curious
