You won't need a block off plate if you get a true LS6 intake.

Yes you will .. He said a plate not a plug. The Plate covers the large hole in your manifold or header. The EGR has 2 connections to the engine, the Exhaust and the Intake.

Guess thats ur problem and not mine. I have race only headers so I might as well get rid of the EGR and AIR system since there is no place for them to hook up. I just can't right now because of the codes. Running with those codes won't cause my car to idle or run weird will it?

no i don't think not having the e.g.r. or air injection will change how the car runs. it's just the o2's that will change it if you don't have a tune, or simulators on a non catted y-pipe. but even that it will only run slightly rich. (i believe).

your car will run perfectly fine without egr and air. removing the egr will throw a code and the Service Engine Soon light will stay lit, but don't worry at all. Nothing bad will happen. You can get programs to make the light go off by tune.

You'll only get the SES. Won't hurt jack. You will get more airflow and your car will probably run a lil on the lean side but it'll be fine till you can get tuned.

While on the topic of LS6's, what kind of gains are people seeing with bolt-on LS1's when swapping to an LS6 intake?

I've got a '00 WS6 with a lid, LTs, ORY and catback and I was just curious about what to expect from the LS6 I have laying in my office..

depends how modded your car is. Stock cars have been seeing like 12-15 hp gains and heavily modded cars were seeing up to 25hp gains.
