Default Traction control ? do i have it or not?

I was taking off my bezel around the stereo and HVAC and saw that to the right of my fog lamp switch there is that blank spot and when I went to remove it, it has several wires running into it? I know my 98 Z28 didn't have that and I didn't have T/C on that either, is that it or do they just run the wires there whether you have it or not?

it would be pretty common practice for car makers to use a single wiring loom for any given model. However I doubt that the rest of the TC system is there.

its usually next to the cigarette lighter. ASR for camaros and TCS for firebirds.

My car has the wires behind the bezel next to the fog lamp switch too, and I don't have traction control.

its cheaper to make one wiring harness for all cars...then to make different wiring harness for different options. If you don't have the as button..you don't have traction control...I have it..its pointless...even n the rain and snow because it doesn't come on till the tires spin...and abrutly stops it which makes the car less balanced

It was the same way when I put a tack in my S-10. There was a wire for it, even though the guage wasn't there from the factory.
