Default Options for Catted Y-pipe

I have a Set of Pacesetter Headers on the way and am now trying to figure out what i wanna do with a Y-pipe. I would like for it to be catted for emissions and sound control. i was looking at these options
TSP catted Y-alot of people complain about fit, the merge and ground clearance.
Custom Y-Pipe- pick up 2 cats on ebay and get a flowmaster merge collector and have a shop fab up the rest. Would i want to go with 2.5in of 3in?
ORY-Get the Pacesetter ORY and then weld a Cat in the I-pipe. Anyone done this/ know if it would work well.

What combo do you all think would work the best?

Thanks
John

Or what about an ORY ,then cut sections out and put in the cats in there.

Sorry, I've been contemplating all of those choices myself (including the one I just listed).

Nothing will fit as good as a custom fabbed one.

I'm interested as well....
My case is MAC ORY....should I weld in the cats, or just fab one from scratch ?
I don't wanna spend too much money on it....

I think 2.5 inch pipe is plenty for headers...especially for street purposes

Then it would be cheaper for you just to weld in the cats. You can even buy my brand new in the box Magnaflow Carsounds and take them with you to the local muffler shop

About how much would it cost for a shop to weld together the flowmaster merge, and 2 cats?
On a different note, could you weld in one 3" cat and have that be enough flow?

Shouldn't be more than $40-50 bucks

I don't think you'd pass visual, not to mention taht you'd have to have both 02 bungs after the single cat. The cat would have to be a bigger cat as well. This is how the 3rd gen Camaros were set up.
