Default Jet Hot headers

How good are they?

How are they on ground clearence?

How well do they flow?

They look like a nice setup and the headers and off road Y are just under $800.

IMO not worth the extra money over the Pacesetters. If you're not springing on the Kooks, I'd go with Pacesetter.

Why? I'm open...I was looking at Kooks, but they sure are pricey and they'r not even coated.

I had SLP Long Tubes and I loved the look of the quality, but I've heard they're not the best flowing and they sure hang low.

The Pacesetters looks nice for $375 coated, can you get the Y-pipe in the coated finish?

How well do the pacestters flow and how are they on ground clearence?

There's multiple reasons to coat. The coating is a big thermal benifit. I've heard the Kooks still discolor.

I know the SLPs were stainless and coated. Likely a lower grade of stainless though.

I think the SLPs are 409 SS, and the Kooks/QTPs are 304 SS.

Anybody have quantative feedback on the different makes?

ou can get the Kooks coated for the thermal benefit, but it's over $200 more on an already pricey prduct. Now if someone can prove to me that Kooks consistantly put down 10+ more HP I'd just save the extra money and get them.

Also, for the price of the Kooks you could get the QTPs with dual electric cutouts...that's a tempting plan. I plan on keeping the SLP muffler for street driving. On my other SS (pictured in my avatar) I had SLP LTs ORPs and a Magnaflow striaght through muffler exiting out the CME. It sounded great, but was too loud for everyday driving. THe same setup with the SLP muffler was s little quiet, but crisp.

I love my jet hots, still look as good as the day I got them. They only reason I ever plan on getting rid of them is to go to 1 7/8.

I recentlyfinished installing Jet hots and currently have true duals with 4 inch magnaflow bullets dumped at the axle.... the setup flows very good, I had a hell of a time getting the driver side header into the engine compartment, but after a lot of cussing and banging I prevailed..... am curious though, my forward O2 sensors didnt come close to reaching.... I needed extensions on both
