Default Which block-off plates do I need?

I'm putting the headers from my 2000 onto the new 2002. Obviously the 02 doesn't have EGR, but what plates do I need from Speed Inc? Just the EGR plates or do I need the EGR/AIR block-off plate set?

Thanks for any help.

You will need the EGR block off plates. I think with some bending of the air tubes you can make them fit. If I'm not mistaken the AIR ports on the headers are in slightly different location from the 98-00 to the 01 and 02's. I'd just get the air block off plates as well and remove AIR as well, but this will throw a code.

So I only really need the single EGR plate? Are the AIR ones the pain in the *** tubes that run down to the headers on each side?

I might order the AIR ones too so that I can not have to reconnect those stupid things.

Yup the air tubes are the PITA tubes on each side. If you block them off, you should remove the rest of the system, since the tubes will be blowing hot air in your engine bay, and you'll still throw a code. Blocking off the holes on the headers will defeat the purpose of having the rest of the system still in the car.

Ok I just went ahead and ordered all of it. I can avoid the pains of hooking those tubes up now and hopefully just tear the whole system out. Thanks for your help.

Anything else that will need to be addressed from putting 00 headers on an 02?

also, removing the air on a newer model is slightly different than on the older models, i believe there is atleast one vacuum line you have to block off. There was a great write up on this a few months ago, id search for it. I believe it was in the tuning section...

Yup, just one vacuum line that will need to be plugged. I plugged it on one of the studs on the coil pack rail, near the back.
