Default Installing exhaust...Pain in the A$$

Well...I bought an SLP Loudmouth exhaust and last night I decided to pull my old exhaust off. I cut the muffler section off and I went to take the rest off after the cat and it was so rusted I had to torch and cut some off. Well it started to come loose and I started to pull on it and it suddenly came off and wacked me in the face...

A broken nose and a glued nose later I am ready to install the rest today...

It is a badass exhaust though. Very well built and the tips and resonator are beautiful

I'm in the middle of doing a header install and i was able to get most of the bolts off by soaking them in WD40, only two bolts snapped off on the drivers side cat. No comment on the broken nose though ...sorry

The biggest thing about gettin bolts of is soaking them in a lubricant, so this is what i hear. Im planning on hopefully gettin to start on my new exhaust next week. I hope i dont run into any problems.......

Sweet! I got the exhaust put on without any problems. There were some clearance issues but the good thing about the SLP exhaust catback is that it is so easy to adjust the clearance issues because there are 7 different places you can adjust for clearance.

The exhaust sounds bad ***!

and the tips are beautiful. Other than me being stupid and pulling on the part that was allready loose and messing up my face I am pretty happy with the installation...

Ha ha, Wait till you do a cam. lol Just did mine. replacing the plugs and looked down on the headers and there was some red liquid on there. I thought I was leaking coolant. Nope slashed upen my hand. Wrapped it up tight and kept on going. Probably should have gotten a stitch or two.

Yeah the bad part is when it happened I hit my head on the differential and saw stars after that...

And that is a good point....This car is deffinately going to be my blood sweet and tears... As well as the hospital bills when I get them..

Oh well...**** happens. The exhaust is kick *** though... The neighbor 5 houses down was washing his new mustang GT all day today so when I got the exhaust put on I made sure he realized that his GT wasnt the badest thing on the block.
