Default intake help for a newb

im going to attempt to change the intake on my 99 ls1, im a totla newb at this engine and thiswill be my forst time even touching it, i have done alot of searches on her ( thanks guys and gals)
and found a great link on a step by step process w/ pix that i know is gonna be handy
but i have 1 question i want answered befor i do the swap.
mine now is a stock ls1 intake being a 99 an all and im switching to the fast lsx intake, do i still need the coolant passage package like TSP sells ect?
if so where is the cheapest place to get it?

yea you still need the coolant pipe and the plugs

I got mine from the delearship and paid almost 50 bucks for them. I know that SLP sells a kit as well...I am sure its also around 50 bucks.

just ordered then from gm parts direct for like 38 dollors thanks from a newb to ls1 motors

Be careful of the rear sensor. Just need the GM cooling lines. You also need to think about what you are going to do about your EGR.

i already bought the delete plugs from speed inc and have a guy w/ hptuners in my car club that can delete those codes as well as the 02 codes ill throw soon when i install my lth i got from pacesetter ( race version )

will it hurt anything if you bolt the coolant tubes down with coolant in the bolt hole??
