Default Flowtech vs. QTP Stainless Steel Cutout

Which one would y'all recommend? I am getting dual electric cutouts put on my 99 WS-6 right after the headers and i'd like to know which one y'all think i should get. The QTP cutout is like $10 more than the flowtech (probably b\c stainless steel) and i wanted to know if it's worth the extra $$$. I know it's only $10 but i'm a money freak and if i can save ANY amount, i will.

I also wanted to make sure that Flowtech cutouts are compatible with my 3" QTP electric motors. I'm sure they will be unless i get the wrong size but i'd like to make sure. Thanks.

My vote is for the QTP.

I can't imagine you'd even think about putting a rusty pipe in between your stainless catback and your stainless electric cutout. The extra $10 will keep your exhaust from looking like a cheap frankenpipe.

Well i was just wondering. What do those of you who have cutouts have? QTP or Flowtech?

So i guess it DOES matter that much then? I didn't think so since my entire Y-pipe isn't STAINLESS.

Spend the extra $10 for the stainless. Will last longer and look better. The stainless cutouts fit better with there electric cutouts because the bolts are longer for turndowns and such. Also te flanges are twice as thick.

The stainless QTP is a nice piece. I have the QTP cutout myself, and it has worked so far, but after I read that a ton of people have problems with their units, I would reccomend going with a McCord Powerplate. It doesn't use a butterfly valve, but a sliding door type.

Here is a problem.

I had the QTP, and one day the gear-work inside the motor got hot and popped (literally) I even saw peices in the rearview on the exit ramp....That's right I was slowing down when it happened. Bye-bye electric cut-out. I will never get another one again. Seriously...who actually closes their cut-out anyway????
