i have the slp loudmouth with just the hollow resonator and stock headers/y pipe, i've never been hassled for the sound, been pulled over many times and even gone thru a couple checkpoints they set up lookin for inspection crap. I love the sound of it, it gets attention but when i'm off the throttle it quiets down

I had a Loudmouth on my '95 TA for about 2 years before I sold the car and I loved mine. I sounded real good on my car, had a nice little rumble at idle and had a great WOT sound. I got my whole system for about $350 so it's much cheaper than a lot of the other systems out there. Don't get me wrong, their are a lot of nice high end systems but I don't like them anymore than the Loudmouth and they're 2 or 3 times as much.

It sounds like a hollow pipe, which is what it is, if you're talking about the original LM "resonator". Well, it damn sure resonates. I'll take a XR-1 Borla any day.

Nah get the system if you think it is too loud they have a bullet muffler (Loudmouth 2) that will quiet it back down. ITs worth the money vs. other systems.

just installed the loudmouth a cople of weeks ago and REALLY love it. only thing i would suggest is that you get it welded at least at the tips because the clamps look like **** and leak a little. i researched for a while and
speedinc.com had the best deal. definitly has the best sound around.

I had the loudmouth on my car with a cam, headers and ORY. It was loud as hell, I loved it (all except for the raspy section). It sounded great at idle and when getting on it (except for that 2200-2500 rpm range, in which it sounded like crap). Needless to say, I got rid of it b/c I started to notice my hearing was going. My wife would ask me a question like 3 times before I even realized she was speaking...Honestly, it was not that i tuned her out, I really couldnt hear ****. Since then, my hearing as improved somewhat

the SLP loudmouth rocks. I have the Y pipe, original loudmouth (I think that's #1, whichever is loudest) and dual tips. The sound is unbeatable, almost 0 restriction, and a nice, almost illegal sounding backfire when you get off the gas. You cant go wrong with it, and I think SLP is having a discount on it as we speak.
