For a stock exhaust the cutout would slip over it and then welded. fits just fine.

Default my $.02

Ordered a cutout back in Sept. 3" for the I pipe
Just had it installed and id have to say its the best mod for $45 bucks plus install.
Would deff. recommend to anyone considering.
Only problem was that I had to have a friend at work put a little bead of weld to cover up an incomplete weld that you could see light through and I had to grind a tiny bit off the pipe sticking above the flange so the cutout plate would sit flush against it. I work for a company that gets a bunch of parts made overseas because of how cheap the cost is, and it looks to me like the cutouts are outsourced overseas because I don't think any halfway decent shop in the USA would allow that through QC. Figured it would be cheaper for me to fix these myself than to waste money sending the cutout back.

Car hauls *** with the cutout open though, great mod.

weld up some muffler clamps. or if you have higher miles you may just need some new motor mounts so everything will fit up tight.

I went to the shop today and asked how i could fix the rattle they said they would have to cut the whole thing out again reposition it and weld it in again. Or beef up the original clamps. They said welding up additional clamps would do nothing. Any ideas?

Where did they put the cutout? With the QTP cutout valve, the only place to put it and not have ground clearance issues is right under the rear passenger seat, just before the bend to go over the axle... The shop should have test fitted the cutout with the valve installed so they could weld it up in the right place and orientation...

Yeah its right before the axle and above it theres a spot open almost looks like its for a cutout right by the drain plug under the rear passenger seat. But it keeps hitting the floor and i was wondering how to fix that

That's the spot... What's hitting the floor? The cutout itself or the valve? Can you take pictures of what you're talking about?

One of the corners of one of the three bolts his hitting the bottom of the floor, it has a little mark on the floor board from when it hits.

Yup, was a manual from QTP.
I like that better than mixing high exhaust temps with little electric motors/actuators
