Default LS6 Intake

I know everyone switches their ls1 intake for an ls6 pre 01 cars. Its pretty much the only bolt on im missing minus a pulley, but is it really worth it, im putting down 360ish right now (tune isnt complete, long story), is it really worth the $350? I mean how much can it really help?

That is one of the things I need. I need the intake, ported T/B, and get rid of the Flowmaster Catback. I'm at 354 rwhp and those 3 things are killing me right now.

it dropped a solid tenth off my 1/4 mile and you can really tell the diffrence in the upper RPMs

you would probably at least pick up 2 tenths and thats huge...

deffinatly worth it i just did mine last week and i also broke the oil psi sending unit...be carfull when you pull the stock mani off the hose that goes to the brake booster will catch on the sending unit and break it...be sure to reach back and go slow..

again this mod made a huge differance i could tell just from doing a couple WOT runs...i also put in SFC's at the same time..

I was considering the LS6 Intake for my cammed car but, the FAST 90mm will be a much bigger imrovement. Pair that up with a Nick Williams 90mm TB and you will have a nice combo to compliment your TR224 Cam/LT Headers. Somthing to think about. The intake should be mid 700's for the 90mm........depending where you get it.

I'm going to switch to a fast intake. Probably the fast 78 though.

There really is no point going from the LS6 to the FAST 78, they almost perform identically. If you're getting a FAST, get a 90mm. There have been people on here who gained 15-20hp over an LS6 on bolt-on cars.

Didn't think my cam or engine CI gave reason for the 90/90 set up?

I made 343 rwhp with the TSP MS3. With the addition of an LS6 intake and SLP UD pulley I made 385 rwhp.
