Default Why i HATE Taylor wires.

Check out the pic below. This happens to about 1 out of every 4 cars i work on with Taylor wires. I do know how to pull wires off, i don't just grab the wire and yank on them. i've probably pulled of thousands of wires and these are by far the worst at coming apart. In a distant second place are stock wires that have 1,000,000 miles on them.
Now i can and do put the wires back together good as new, but this shouldn't be happening with expensive "high performance" wires.

Yup, exact same problems we had with the mustangs.

The GMPP wires and the MSD's have worked well on my LS1 cars.

Stockers or MSD's are best.

I have the same problem with Taylor's. Every time I pull them off I have one that separates like that. I keep a box of spares in my garage just in case. Eventually I'll go with MSD or GMPP wires.

I've had my Taylor 8mm wires on and off about 5 times since I bought them and haven't had a problem. The reason that I went with the Taylors is because one of my MSD 8.5s came apart just like in the picture above. My local speed shop didn't have any MSD 8.5s in stock so I went with the Taylor 8mm wires since I had to have them that day. That was the first time that my MSD wires were pulled off, and one of them broke. I pulled it by the boot too. Both MSD and Taylor are good wires in my opinion, just gotta be careful with them.

Ditto, I swear by the things. There's hardly any resistance in these wires at all.

I'll probably buy another set with my new motor.

That's a shitty problem to have though...

Looks like an issue with an over zealous crimper. I have seen every brand of wire come apart, but mostly when the boots are pulled before being twisted once to break it loose from the plug, or when no dielectric grease was used. However, I do stay with stock.

I also switched to MSD's after my taylors did that I had the 10.5 thundervolts and they came apart although I did take them off 4-5 times and they where on for 2 years. I probably won't use taylors again but if I can get 2 years out of wires at $50 a set then I'd say thats not too bad.
