Louder and deeper.

Any exhaust note is something you really have to hear for yourself to understand it. Very hard to describe that sort of sound.

The title is asking about how heads change the sound of the car. Would heads alone change the sound? I'm going from stock ls1 to ported ls6. You all think that's gonna change my exhaust note?

With heads only and nothing else the only way it would change is if your compression was raised. I think it would get a little louder with more compression but maybe not noticably.

Raised compression makes the sound hit harder- ever had a high compression heads/cam/ 112 or less LSA car creep up on ya? You'll feel the lope reverberate deep in your torso. Makes your house shake when you crank up your car.

I recently did heads and cam...the car got angry. It got this aggressive sound. It's sort of like the got involved. BTW...i'm dead serious. Don't know anout heads only...but I wouldn't do heads w/o a cam too.
