A glasspack is a very cheap(like $20) straight through muffler with the smallest baffles ever. It's most tipically seen on older trucks. If you ever see an 73-87 chevy truck with duals coming out the back and its loud. Its almost a sure thing that is has duals with glassbacks on it. They are very loud and cackle like crazy. They are pretty much just an excuse for a muffler for when u get pulled over for defective exhaust.

It's a straight through muffler with fiberglass packing inside to deaden the sound a little. Examples would be Dynomax Bullets and Purple Hornies.

I would not confuse a glasspack with a bullet muffler. Glasspacks have fiberglass deadening which tends to blowout with time. Bullet mufflers and i believe magnaflow as well have stainless steel wool instead which wont rust or blow out. Glass packs usually sound fairly decent at first until youget a few miles on em, then they just get loud, raspy and like it was mentioned they "cackle".

Cherry bomb exhaust is probably the most popular glasspack.
