Question I need Headers! Which ones?

I'm looking for new headers to finish off my true dual system and can't figure out which ones I want. Hooker, SLP, Pace Setter, Dynatech? Which ones should I get?? If you have a set installed, let me know what kind and what you think of them...+'s -'s and such. Thanks.

well if you are looking for the best bang for buck go with Pacesetters. Which ever set you get id make sure you get them coated. I hear good things out of Hooker headers. I think they are the same as Kooks.

hooker and kooks are different, kooks are stainless steel and regarded as the best along with QTP (stainless as well) and hooker is like jet-hot in that they are coated headers but not stainless steel. Coated headers can rust once the coating comes off, how long that takes depends on your driving conditions. The most expensive are going to be the stainless steel headers which will last as long as you need them to. Performance wise, they are all going to be similar gains of rwhp, i would imagine you might get a couple extra ponies (like between 1 and 5 extra hp) with the more $$$ ones

You can get the Hookers in stainless now, but if I was gonna spend that kind of money, I'd just do QTP's or maybe Kooks.

QTP - great quality, great fitment, great price with the HVMC. I wouldnt recommend anything else unless price is an issue. In which case Id say pacesetter

I would go straight to hooker if you dont want to fork it over for the QTP's. Just dont get SLP for the love of God!

The easy answer is: You can pretty much buy any coated/stainless longtube you want and be happy, as long as you stay away from the SLP's and flowtechs. Knowing that, you can base your decision on $$ you want/have to spend.

Nicely said. What's the instal like on the pacesetters? Do both sides clear from above? Removal of any other parts needed? I wanna know how a header instal on LS1's compares to LT1's.

399$ for full length edelbrock headers with Ti-tech coating, have slip on merg collectors, O2 extentions, all hardware.. and better yet.. thier 3" Y pipe is $104..

that by far is the best value.

How are Edlebrocks headers anyway? Good fit?

As well, I am a newb, so what is the difference in having EGR & Air Fittings and not? Is it environmental? I really don't much about it at all.

The pretty much slip right in...the instructions say you might have to raise the motor but I have yet to have a car where they didnt fit perfectly. Definitely a hell of a lot easier than working on an LT1.
