Default What fuel is the best for 02s?

Does the fuel used have a lot to do with how long your 02s last? What octane and what brand do you all use?

I run Amoco/BP 93 octane. If I happen to not be close to one of the very few BP stations locally then I'll get Shell 93.

Just use manufacorers recommended octane rating. You really wont be doing any hard to the o2 by using any type of pump gas. I personally use 91 octane (all that colorado offers) from Conaco or Shell. Use to use BP until I started having cold starting problems, ran an alcohol volitility test and found out the poor quality of it.

I wonder if it was just that BP location that had crappy gas. My car seems to run best with BP in it.

Anything below 93 octane for my car and it starts sputterring and missing. I used some Diamond Shamrock gas last week and I just replaced my 02s and the SES kept coming off and on. Now, I went to Exxon and filled up and the light has stayed off. Wonder if the gas had something to do with it.

That is a good possibility. Plus I live in Colorado, where good gas is just a myth. Add that with having no air up here, and you got yourself a 15 second runner!

I know about the air thing, man. I stayed up there for a week over the 4th of July this past year. I felt just a little dizzy the entire time. I was able to get drunk really fuggin quick though. Was also pretty cool just being able to go into the backyard and see huge *** mountains everywhere on the horizon.

They don't even sell 93 here
I usually run 89 or 91. Hasn't ever cutout on me. I run 91 when I can. The car just feels faster. It may just be in my head though.
