i put a 80mm tb on and now...
my idle is off.sometime's it will stay at 2k and slowley come down at a redlight.the tb is a 80mm bbk.it looks like the previous owner drilled the hole out a little and im thinking that's the problem.can i fix that with my dyno tune im getting next week?
i compared the stock and 80mm in this pick.you can see the differance in the hole.

I fixed a stock blade with too large of a hole using some JB weld applied over a piece of masking tape on the opposite side of the blade. This gave me a nice smooth finish and when it was done I just redrilled the correct size hole. Hope this helps.

I would just get a new blade... I had to get a new one once and it was like 5$, It will save you allot of headaches down the road..
What is happening is the extra air with the drilled blade is telling the computer to bump up the idle for the extra airflow. I know JB weld is some good stuff but 5$ is worth it for a blade than that junk going through my motor.., but it's your car...
Isn't there a idle screw adjustment on a BBK?

If i was you i would get a new blade, then i would get a HP tune to compensate for your idle and ect.., There is no need to drill a hole through the BBK 80mm power plus T.B. blade, Some fellow ls1tech members were kind enough to meet with me and help me with my same problem and they took care of my issues with a HP tune. There was and is no need to drill any holes through the BBK T.B. blade.
Because BBK Designed their T.B. to allow air to pass around the edges of the blade instead of passing through a hole drilled through the blade. If you know or can find somebody that has HP tuners or ect.. You will be able to view the intake of the T.B while it is closed with the software.
It is more than enough flow for idle without drilling a hole through it.
The problem is you have now changed your air percentage. a rich A/F mixture. your IAC is readjusting from its program. So you need somebody to go into your pcm and adjust it a little bit to compensate for the increased air flow.
I also should add that when i installed my BBK t.b. Performance wise i couldnt notice a change or performance difference than my stock t.b.
Until i had a little bit of a tune

Initially, I tried to start mine up (with the BBK) sans hole. It wouldn't even stay running. My old tb had a slightly enlarged hole put in there by my tuner so I simply matched the hole to my BBK blade. It idles perfect. But I agree, tuning would be the best/correct way to achieve the correct idle.

I would buy the blade and have it on hand for the tuning or install it before the tune, so that way when you get tuned you are running with what set up you will have on your car. Because if you get it tuned then replace the blade i'm sure it throw off the values that were changed during the tune
